re: MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT HELICOPTER OVERFLIGHTS: Called Sheriff's Office. They said, "Not us." Called and left message with HDE (Humboldt Drug Enforcement) asking if they knew anything. Called Coast Guard, they said, "Not us." CHP dispatch said "We don't fly helicopters at night: too dangerous." At Air Office in Benton they said, "Definitely not us, and if you hear helicopters in night, you should call Law Enforcement immediately! Shouldn't be happening." HDE called back to say "It wasn't us. Could possibly be military type operation, maybe DEA with infrared lights. We don't know. We are not given this information."

@ 3:50 PM: TWO PLANES, one white with blue or black underbelly, high wings with fixed gear; the other same with red markings on tail. circling and doing lazy 8's on Iron Peak/RGR road near Laytonville. Not too low.

@ 10:30 am: About AIRPLANE flying way below tree line on Saturday, see above. "How can I find out about it, make sure it wasn't crashing, or if it was harassment. Very disturbed. Can't sleep." She left # to call back if we got any information. Called a pilot-friend who checked registry online -- (HTTP\\ registry.FAA.gov) but that number wasn't listed. # for Dennis, flight instructor @ Garberville Airport--923-1905. #N69ZE flying out of Garberville? What are the rules of small plane flying over community? No such # out of Garberville. Must fly 1000' above town, 500' above structures in country-side. Another local pilot said DEA flies airplanes out of Sacramento--sky blue, with no markings, oversize motor, special quiet prop.
@5:56 pm: Report of the Hum Co Sherriff serving warrants in the highway 299 area, Redwood Creek/Titlow Hill. The ground crews are reportedly entering residentsÕ properties under warrants written for illegal building reasons. They are saying they can come into peoples property and inside of the established curtilage of the property. It was on the same day as the 7-13 assult with a deadly weapon. The sheriffs department was in the Redwood Valley area doing "eradication work" when they got the call about the assult, acording to the report. People who got visits had been previously notified by mail in letters from Jeff Connor 476-2429 and atty. Bradford Floyd 445-9754.

@ 11:30 am: CHOPPER was heard flying low, west over Whale Gulch at Mendo County lines, assume they are eradicating on BLM.
@ 3:27 pm: HALIBURTON CONVOY was seen on hwy 101, large farm equipment, sprayers, big tanks with liquid on truck, also saw FIGHTER JET flying very low over head.

@ 10:30 am: 6 police in military type vehicles 3 miles South of Leggett, hanging out.

@ 11 am: near HELICOPTER LANDING AREA of downtown Covelo, friends of caller found plants wilted with white powder on them. White powder also dusted top of pond for animals, were worried it was poison so they drained it.
Caller said she also saw HALIBURTON CONVOY on HWY 101, and that it was drilling equipment for mining.

@11:50: Code enforcement showed up with caravan of sheriffs, in Trinidad, pulling people out of houses at gunpoint. Kids on hips. People did get warning letters, not zoned for so may occupants. Quarry behind them starting to subdivide. Occupants were told they could not be present when warrants served.

@ 2:24 pm: Caller had "important questions" related to the law enforcement raid on his greenhouses in Willow Creek which happened on Monday. When I returned his call on Tuesday he said he had had 5 scripts on 3 different greenhouses; Law Enforcement left paperwork: search inventory and warrant; took everything in 2 larger greenhouses which had 4 scripts, left one small greenhouse with 1 script, took 2 of the scripts, and took his generators that weren't being used on anything. Mark Harris is his lawyer.

A note was received from Humboldt County Code Enforcement Officer Jeff Connor: ÒThe Code Enforcement Unit investigates violations of County code. These can be far ranging, including zoning violations, illegal dumping, building code violations (mainly construction and grading done without permits), substandard housing, illegal disposal of hazardous materials and numerous others. My partner, John Desadier, and myself are both sworn peace officers as defined in section 830.1 of the Penal Code. Consequently, we are required to enforce State violations when we observe them in the course of our duties.Ó

SEPTEMBER 1, Sunday JET FIGHTER AIRPLANE flew over callerÕs home (he lives with family on a ridge near Petrolia). He said the huge, deafeningly loud airplane was 150Õ from ground, just over tree-tops. He wanted to know where he could complain. I gave him # of Airports Manager of Humboldt Co., Jaqueline Hulsey (839-5401), and asked him to call back.

Sept. 11), MILITARY STYLE HELI worse than seen in 5 years--ridiculously rude, grass blowing around wildly, frightened pregnant horse who ran into fence. They usually donÕt go near houses. Flew all over small farm (corn and tomatoes) same height as fir trees, right above house on 90 acres. Filed complaint (#310). Margie says SheriffÕs werenÕt out last week.

@ 12 pm: HELI heard circling and strange plane flying low with some kind of side car seen over Windy Gap.
@ 10:45 am: Called Terri (KMUD news) to see if she wanted to research Willow Creek reports. She spoke with Sgt. Hanson who said that people in properties adjacent to the National Forest where large grows have been found are subject to interrogation. Several people have been arrested. All grows in these areas are being eradicated because even though they may be posted as medical marijuana grows they are not in compliance with the 100 sq. feet canopy, the County requirement. The law enforcement groups are acting in concert with the DEA, CAMP, County Code Enforcement, US Forest Service, Humboldt Co. SheriffÕs, and Eureka Police. (KMUD news that night said warrant had been served in Willow Creek and a second area.)

@ 7:40 am 4-5 unmarked, rented SUVs and 10 guys in camo were seen at Dinsmore laundromat, probably heading east. 15Õ later, they were gone. Ran on KMUD 10:40 AM.
